Community guidelines

Make people feel safe, respected and free to say no.

Be genuine

Use your real account details, communicate honestly and join only with a sincere interest in friendship. Verification is not permission to ignore another person’s boundaries and does not guarantee anyone’s character.

Respect boundaries

Consent can change. A declined invitation, request for space or decision not to stay connected must be accepted immediately and without retaliation. Never pressure anyone to drink alcohol, spend money, move to a private place, share transport, exchange contact information or continue socialising.

Use chat responsibly

Keep messages relevant to the confirmed group meeting. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual pressure, illegal content, scams, advertising, repeated messaging or requests for money. Do not pressure anyone to disclose a phone number, home address, workplace or social account.

Protect privacy

Do not screenshot, publish, investigate or redistribute another participant’s name, photo, messages, contact details or attendance. What is said in the private circle stays in the circle unless reporting a genuine safety concern.

Meet safely

Meet only at the public, staffed venue selected and confirmed by Kinly. Participants and proposers must not change the venue or move the activity to a home, hotel room, vehicle, isolated place or undisclosed location. Arrange your own transport, tell someone you trust where you are going, protect your drink and belongings, and leave whenever you feel uncomfortable.

Suggest responsibly

Community suggestions must follow the Proposal Rules, be genuine, non-commercial and accurately described. Only cinema, coffee or dinner is currently permitted. Do not publish an address, ask participants for money, collect contact details, advertise, sell, recruit or submit misleading, unsafe, discriminatory or illegal activities.

Pay only through official channels

Never pay another member directly. A café, restaurant or cinema may charge you directly for your own purchases. Any Kinly membership or booking charge will be presented only through an official Kinly checkout.

Block, report or leave

You may block another participant, leave a chat or submit a private report. Kinly may review reported material, remove activities, preserve relevant evidence and restrict accounts. Contact Cyprus emergency services for immediate danger.

Automatic closure

The chat becomes read-only 24 hours after the scheduled meeting. Ordinary messages are then removed according to the Privacy Notice.
